Congratulations to Dr. T. Keith Dix on his appointment to Associate Professor Emeritus.

Caitlyn will pursue a Master’s Degree in Classical Archaeology in the fall at the University of Missouri, studying Roman concrete with Dr. Marcello Mogetta. According to Caitlyn, “I plan to spend a good portion of my time there in the Archaeometry Laboratory!”

The Department celebrated the outstanding achievement of our graduating senior class Thursday afternoon.

In the first short session of the 2021 summer institute, Dr. O’Connell will be teaching Petronius’ Satyricon (LATN 8010), a tale of sex, food, and money set in first-century Campania.
