The Forum Gallery in the Department of Classics, Park Hall, draws inspiration from the forum areas of ancient Roman towns where the public gathered for special events, speeches, and spectacle entertainment. The gallery exhibitions focus on Classical antiquity and its reception to highlight historic and contemporary engagement with the cultures of ancient Greece and Rome. The current exhibition, The Grand Tour features 20th century water-color paintings of ancient Roman monuments and sites in Italy that have long drawn visitors in search of the Classical Past.
