In 1804 the University held its first commencement. At that ceremony and at each commencement for the next several years, every graduating senior delivered a commencement address, usually in Greek or Latin. You may have missed that particular rite of passage, but as a Classics alumna or alumnus, you are part of a long and proud tradition. Please stay in touch with the Department.
