Congratulations to Molly Stevens on the successful defense of her M.A. thesis on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.  The title of her thesis: Vintage 536: The Effect of the Late Antique Little Ice Age on the Viticulture of Southern Palestine.

Alicia Stallings graduated in 1990 from the University of Georgia with an A.B in Classics. She then graduated from the University of Oxford with an MSt in Latin Literature in 1991.

Researchers explore impact of shifting climate in late antiquity

UGA Classics Professor Jordan Pickett is part of an international team studying the impacts of climate change during Roman and Late Antiquity, with a recent journal article in PLOS One highlighted here by UGA Research News.

Undergraduate Programs
