38th Annual Classics Summer Institute

Preparations are underway for the 38th annual Classics Summer Institute which will be conducted this year entirely online between 8 June and 31 July. Students will have their choice among four upper-level courses. Latin Prose Composition will be taught in the through session by Dr. John Nicholson, Survey of Latin Poetry will be taught in the first short session by Dr. Christine Albright, and in the second short session there will be two Classics courses: Ancient Identities by Dr. Kelly Dugan, and Ancient Greek Theater by Dr. Benjamin Wolkow.

UGA Classics explores Greek and Roman culture (material; intellectual; religious) from Troy to Augustine; Classical languages and literatures (Greek, Latin, and in English translation); and the reception of Classical Antiquity with A.B. and M.A. degrees in Classics with multiple areas of emphasis.
